We had an amazing stay at Tubbrid Castle. Not only is it in a gorgeous location, but the thought put into restoring and furnishing it really tells the story of how much love John and his family have for the castle. Every need you could possibly have has already been thought of and taken care of. John gave us excellent recommendations for food, shopping and my favorite, hiking. I was in awe my entire stay, thinking of all the memories the castle walls must have.

Tubbrid castle is amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice. Our stay was unforgettable. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, we stayed for 3 nights and wish we had booked 7! John and Helen were very responsive and thoughtful hosts. The experience is more than you can possibly imagine and we hope to return often. This is a truly unique experience that you will not regret!

Tubbrid Castle is a perfect mix between fairy tale and modern day luxury. He is a dream of a host and the castle was equipped with absolutely everything that we needed. Not a single detail or amenity is overlooked. I loved all of the window seats, beautiful drapes, bathroom sinks, showers, French press, glasses, furniture, kitchen island, and the doors are amazing... I could go on and on... I truly did not want to leave!

This is truly an experience like I've never had before. My family visited for my mother's birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Can't recommend it highly enough. John gave us a great tour & few historical stories. The castle itself is very well equipped and comfortable. Location is quiet enough if you'd like it, yet close enough to some towns if you're interested in exploring. I will be recommending this to my friends & will hope to come back again sometime.
